Just like last year’s presentation, Grasshopper Direct 2024 will hopefully give us a glimpse of what’s next from renowned game maker Suda51, whose prior work includes Killer7, the No More Heroes series, Lollipop Chainsaw, and Shadows of the Damned.

Soliani spent 11 years working on the two Mario + Rabbids games, released on Switch in 2017 and 2022 in conjunction with Nintendo. The developer is yet to reveal what he’ll be working on next, beyond embarking on “a new adventure”.
“Hi all folks. After 25 years, 11 of which beautifully spent working with Nintendo on Mario+Rabbids along the company of our incredible community of players, I have decided to leave Ubisoft to embark on a new adventure,” he wrote on social media site X. “I can’t say more now. Thanks a lot for everything, truly.”

Nexon previously commented to say it was taking the matter seriously and would make changes in a later patch. Now it has done so, and released the following note:
“The First Descendant has been developed with deep affection and respect for various looter shooters, and we take feedback regarding other similar games very seriously,” Nexon said in the game’s latest patch notes. “Through this hotfix, we are trying to reflect the unique identity of The First Descendant.
